Michael K. Lester

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Lester is an accomplished health care executive whose professional experience includes 27 years in the multi-site health care services and pharmaceutical life sciences fields. As the chief executive officer of multiple companies, he successfully capitalized, assembled top tier management teams and implemented strategic and tactical business plans creating long term value for employees, customers and shareholders.

Prior to founding Accelecare Wound Centers®, a comprehensive wound care and disease management company, Mr. Lester was a Venture Partner at Bain Capital and SV Life Sciences. Prior to that, Mr. Lester was founder and CEO of Radiant Research, a comprehensive clinical research company providing Phase I-IV study conduct and drug development services to the biopharmaceutical industry, founder and CEO of ContinueCare Health Systems, a high tech home and alternate site infusion therapy company and founder and CEO of Preferred Hospital Pharmacies, a successful pharmacy management company. Mr. Lester was formerly a board member and President of the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. He serves on The University of Texas College of Pharmacy Pharmaceutical Foundation Advisory Council and is a member of the board of directors of Celerion, Inc., Clinical Ink and The Historic Flight Foundation and is a trustee at the Museum of Flight.

Pamela M. Spaniac

President

Ms. Spaniac is an accomplished health care executive whose professional experience includes over 15 years in the multi-site health care services and pharmaceutical life sciences fields. As a senior executive of multiple companies, she has successfully led organizations through complex acquisitions, recapitalizations and implemented strategic and tactical business plans creating long term value for employees, customers and shareholders.

Prior to joining Accelecare Wound Centers®, a comprehensive wound care and disease management company, Ms. Spaniac was President and CEO of Radiant Research, a comprehensive clinical research company providing Phase I-IV study conduct and drug development services to the biopharmaceutical industry. Her professional background includes more than 20 years of experience in both private and public sector healthcare companies. Prior to her work with Radiant, she served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Res-Care, Inc., Vice President and Controller of Coram Healthcare Corporation and Director of Finance and Controller at the University of Colorado Hospital Authority. Ms. Spaniac began her career at Ernst & Young. She is a member of the board of directors of Accelecare Wound Centers, Inc. She is a certified public accountant in the state of California and received her BA from Scripps College.

William J. Ennis, D.O., M.B.A., F.A.C.O.S.

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Ennis is an accomplished physician and health care executive whose professional experience includes over 20 years in the health care services field. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Dr Ennis earned his medical degree at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is board certified in General Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Family Medicine. He received an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of management in Chicago. Dr. Ennis is Chief, Section of American College of Wound Healing and Tissue Repair, at the University of Illinois Chicago.  Ennis is also the most recent past president of the AAWC (Association for the Advancement of Wound Care). He has published and lectured extensively and founded the nation’s first academic, physician based fellowship in wound care at the University of Illinois Chicago.

Robin L. Walsh

Chief Development Officer

Mr. Walsh has a proven track record as a successful senior health care executive. His professional experience includes 32 years in multi-site hospital and health care services companies. He has held key executive leadership positions with both large publicly traded and smaller privately held health care organizations.

Prior to joining Accelecare Wound Centers®, a comprehensive wound care and disease management company, Mr. Walsh was the CEO and led the start-up, capitalization and growth of National Medical Solutions, Inc., a comprehensive wound care and disease management company, based in Nashville, TN. National Medical Solutions was acquired by Accelecare Wound Centers® in October 2007. Prior to that, Mr. Walsh was President of the US division of MDS Laboratory Services creating regional clinical laboratory joint venture operations with hospitals, one of seven executive founders of Quorum Health (formally HCA Management Company) and the founding President of HCA Healthcare of Canada. He has also served as a Board member for several health service companies. Mr. Walsh holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University, Ontario, Canada.

Gwendolyn H. Booth

Senior Vice President Operations

Ms. Booth is an experienced health care executive whose professional background includes 16 years in the clinical and biopharmaceutical industry. As a senior leader at several health care service companies she successfully managed multiple locations, developed and implemented successful integration and operation plans, and executed successful growth strategies.

Prior to joining Accelecare Wound Centers®, a comprehensive wound care and disease management company, Ms Booth was Vice President, Clinical Pharmacology at Covance, one of the world's largest and most comprehensive drug development services companies. Prior to that, Ms. Booth was Vice President, Early Phase Clinical Development with Radiant Research, a comprehensive clinical research company providing Phase I-IV study conduct and drug development services to the biopharmaceutical industry. Ms. Booth was also a member of the MDS Pharma Services management team for 8 years prior to joining Radiant Research. She is a member of the board of directors of CRI Worldwide. Ms. Booth holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.

Thom M. Herrmann

Senior Vice President Business Development

Mr. Herrmann is an experienced health care executive whose professional background includes 10 years in the health care services arena. As a senior leader at several health care service companies he successfully managed multiple locations, developed and implemented successful operation plans and executed successful growth strategies.

Prior to joining Accelecare Wound Centers®, a comprehensive wound care and disease management company, Mr. Herrmann was the Chief Operations Officer & President of the Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute – SW in Houston, Texas. In this role, Mr. Herrmann had complete operational responsibility for the free standing heart hospital, Board leadership responsibility for the 40 physician & hospital joint venture, and all business development for the 629 bed Memorial Hermann Southwest Campus. Prior to joining Memorial Hermann, Mr. Herrmann worked as a sales executive and team leader with Great-West Healthcare, a managed care company serving middle market employers. While at Great-West he led the Anthem Division in total group medical sales production and was named “outstanding newcomer of the year” for leading all new sales executives in production. Mr. Herrmann holds a Bachelors of Science in Cell & Molecular Biology from the University of Washington and Masters in Business Administration and certificate in Health Sector Management from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

Danish Qureshi

Senior Vice President Strategic Initiatives

Mr. Qureshi is an experienced executive with a professional background in strategic and tactical business analysis, including the design and implementation of new business plans and growth strategies.

Prior to joining Accelecare Wound Centers, a comprehensive wound care and disease management company, Mr. Qureshi was an Associate at Nautic Partners, a US based middle market private equity firm with $2.5 billion under management. While at Nautic, Mr. Qureshi worked on over 20 early stage transactions and took an active strategic role within Nautic’s existing portfolio of companies. Prior to joining Nautic, Mr. Qureshi held the position of Director of Strategy and Marketing for Accelecare Wound Centers, helping to shape the company’s initial market penetration plan. Mr. Qureshi began his career as a management consultant at Bain & Company, with time spent in the core strategy practice as well as the private equity diligence practice, engaging on projects for various Fortune 500 companies and large-cap private equity firms. Mr. Qureshi holds a B.A. from Northwestern University, with concentrations in Economics and Political Science.

Michael J. Crouch

Vice President of Compliance and Training

Mr. Crouch is an accomplished health care executive whose professional experience includes 19 years in the wound care and hyperbaric medicine fields. He has managed multiple high volume, successful wound care programs. Mr. Crouch has trained over 1,000 physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare workers at introductory wound care and hyperbaric medicine training courses. He is currently responsible for providing overall compliance and training for all processes related to wound care and hyperbaric operations at Accelecare Wound Centers. He also serves as the Corporate HBO Safety Officer.

Prior to joining Accelecare Wound Centers®, a comprehensive wound care and disease management company, Mr. Crouch spent approximately 7 years providing reimbursement support to more than 150 wound care site locations working closely with CMS, the OIG and local Fiscal Intermediaries to explore any impact from changing regulations related to revenue integrity and compliance. He was formerly the Chair of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine Society (UHMS) Associate body and a supporting author of several UHMS publications. In addition, he is a supporting author of the “Hyperbaric Facility Safety: A Practical Approach” textbook that was published in 1999. He received a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of Texas and is a certified hyperbaric technologist (CHT).

 

Arti B. Masturzo

Director of Medical Affairs

Dr. Masturzo is a highly regarded physician and published educator who has dedicated her career to the advancement of wound care best practices and the development of successful wound care programs in competitive markets.

As the youngest member of the University of South Florida’s class of 1997, Dr. Masturzo graduated summa cum laude and continued at USF for her medical degree.  She completed her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Cincinnati in 2004 and was immediately named Medical Director of Wound Care at Drake Hospital in Cincinnati.  She instituted hyperbaric oxygen therapy and matured Drake’s wound care program to one of regional prominence.  She then accepted the Medical Director of Hyperbaric Medicine position at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Covington, Kentucky and founded Would Specialists of Greater Cincinnati.  In 2011, she became Medical Director of Wound Care for Tri-Health Associates, overseeing in-patient and out-patient wound care, including hyperbarics, for several hospitals and clinics in Greater Cincinnati.  Dr. Masturzo is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hyperbaric Medicine and is actively involved in education committees for the WHS (Would Healing Society) and UHMS (Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine Society).
